PPP TEFL Lesson Plan Template
The PPP framework is the most widely taught lesson structure in TEFL: Presentation, Practice, Production. It works because it moves students from controlled input to freer output in a clear sequence.
When to use PPP
Use PPP for grammar and vocabulary lessons, especially with beginner and lower-intermediate learners. It is also ideal for observed lessons because the structure is easy to follow.

Common PPP mistakes
- Spending too long on presentation and leaving no time for production
- Making practice activities too difficult too soon
- Not giving students a real reason to use the language in production
